I am inclined to agree with you. Just in the US, the trend seems to be more abuse coming from police officers. I know not all officers abuse their authority but it seems more and more of them are turning to enforcement rather than peacekeeping. My frustration with this issue of racially motivated killing is that it frames a serious problem in the wrong context. I don't believe blacks are targeted more and arguing that whites are killed more is missing the point as well. More Americans (all races) are being killed by police. This is what needs to be addressed. Police do more to instill fear than a sense of safety.
I agree completely. It is too easy to pass this off as racism. It's far deeper than that.
