Little Dreams

My 5-year-old daughter earned her white-with-yellow-stripe belt in Wado karate today. Her sensei is hoping to compete on Team USA in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Someday I'll be very happy I have all this photo preserved for posterity on the blockchain.

Big Dreams

My 7-year-old borrowed my wife's phone to chat with her favorite aunt today, and this is what she told her:

I love that she is so inspired by the athletes she sees competing in the current Winter Olympic games and already has it in her head that if she works hard she can be the very best. I can't wait to see how far she goes!

Your daughters passion and drive must spur from your parenting skills. The fact that she has dreams, ambitions, values, and morals will help her become successful in the future. Thank you have instilling these characteristics in your child. I know a lot of kids who don't have manners and don't understand how to communicate with adults and peers. I hope she achieves her dreams and makes it to the (Jr.) Olympics. LOL

I've seen many of these children you describe. . .

On one hand I'm sad because they are the future and will create a world very foreign to me. On the other hand, I know they will be my daughter's "competition" and she'll be running circles around them ;-P

Yea i work with kids like that. It breaks my heart that most of their parents neglect their kids and are too busy with their own lives. As for me I agree my son will be in a great position when he gets into the real world.

congratulations on getting the white and yellow belt, hopefully fore more active learning or training, once again congratulations for your child...

Your daughter is very beautiful Hoping to be your family's pride, and may the happiness be ours.

Congratulations for your daughter, hope that Wado's karate is now able to give benefits for the future, you have a very great son @grolelo.

Good to see the younger girl is also interested in sports..!! 🤗

thts the real courage what she told to her aunt, tht will keep her going for the goal of her life..! 😊
they both will reach the peak of success..!
May God help them..! 😇

Warms my heart when I see my girls dreaming big!

By the time your daughter perfects her karate skills,am sure many recognitions will come along with it. Your daughters are really gonna appreciate this efforts later in the future. Cheers man.

It's the one sport that she has shown any consistent interest in, and after her belt promotion she said "When I'm 15 I'll have a whole collection of belts!" She's already thinking about her future success, I couldn't ask for more.

good martial arts. I'm glad to see your daughter learning self-defense at an early age. hopefully he can join the competition in the coming year @grolelo

I definitely like the self-confidence that karate brings. After reading about all the abuse scandals of young women in sports (gymnastics, figure skating, etc), I want my daughters to know how to stand up for themselves both mentally and physically if a coach/doctor/anyone ever crosses the line. I can keep them safe now, but at some point they will have to take care of themselves.

Its always beautiful to see kids being motivated to do healthy activities!

She certainly has good parents :)

Indeed, we're very happy when they self-direct to healthy activities, hopefully they maintain that mentality in their teenage years as well!

And here is the giraffe girl!

Nice to meet her hehehehe :D

Yup, giraffe girl is the olympic tennis hopeful, and the CEO of Health Company. . . girl's got talent!
