You yourself are able to reduce some of the stress you adjure daily just by focusing your mind and getting rid of all the negative energy. And over time if you do the regular enough for certain amount of time it will help / learn you how to control your stress during the day. Personally, I combine meditation with low impact yoga. It aids in dealing with my frequent battles with depression and anxiety. A combination of meditation and yoga along with an apple everyday helps to keep the doctor away.

I really try to meditate at least 2 times per week and must say that it is something in combination with yoga that helps me stay grounded...
