That mention of being busy is just a way to procrastinate remembered me of another similar idea that I consider brilliant and gave me an idea for a future post: Being sorry for what you are doing/ not doing is also a procrastination gate as our brain is happy that we are sorry and considers it good enough not to spend more energy in actual fixing things out. If I feel bad about procrastinating, my mind is triggered to reward me for feeling bad. My mind says, "good you feel bad and that is good enough to solve the issue."... But really it solves nothing because the actual task is never completed?

While lists are usually helpful, I've found that I still procrastinate on it. One way that I've dealt with this is by putting something at stake, and having someone keep me accountable for finishing the list. Things I've done in the past includes giving 50¢ to my buddy for every day that I put off the list. I know it seems counter productive but it has helped me finish my lists faster. Loved the vid!
