"How to understand what you want?"

I can not figure out what I want from life, I do not know what I want to do professionally. How to hear yourself? How to understand that you are going in the right direction?

In my opinion, you ask two different questions: what a person wants from life and how to choose a profession.

In choosing a profession, you will have to subtly assess your aspirations, interests, the area where the most energy is concentrated. In other words, find the occupation that “fills” you. When you understand what the soul is for, you can get an education that allows you to further uncover strengths.

Be prepared for the fact that the education received and what the person begins to engage in in what he finds himself often do not coincide. Do not be afraid to "make a mistake" by learning something wrong. Education can always be “corrected” by obtaining an additional, in accordance with the requirements of life and your new interests. Try to start working in any area that you find interesting, in any capacity: as an intern, secretary, or assistant. But so that you have the opportunity to assess whether your ideas about this sphere coincide with reality.

The second question about what you want from life, I think, will have to ask yourself quite often. At least, it should be voiced at those moments when it seems that life does not suit, that changes are needed. Of course, this does not exclude the pursuit of any more or less long-term life program. It is very important that you yourself make the main choices in your life. Listen to your desires and feelings, then life will be yours.
