Experts from the World Health Organization and the US Center for Disease Control and Disease in Atlanta believe that a new influenza pandemic is likely to be likely to occur in the future.

If humanity is to be hit by a virus similar to that of 1918, it would die between 20 and 100 million people. But it is not the flu virus that humankind, according to the WHO, since 1980s until now have appeared 39 new diseases that have moved mainly from animals to humans.

Many of the new viruses that have affected humans are in fact "old" because they exist for centuries. The best example of this is HIV, the cause of the AIDS, which is the sequel to SIV, the virus that carries chimpanzees.

Scientists believe the "peaceful" SIV transformation into infamous HIV occurred seventy years ago when forest cutting and road construction began in Africa.
Here are some of the most dangerous viruses that experts have called "the apocalypse cavalry".

About five thousand people die each year of this type of virus that was first enrolled in a nursing home in Nigeria, Lasa, in 1969. The virus is transmitted from rats to West Africa. Lasa causes nausea and hemorrhagic fever.
The virus affects about 300,000 people annually, of whom five thousand die.

Marburg
The mortality rate is 90 percent. The virus has been named after the German city of Marburg, where it was introduced in 1967 to an employee in a lab that was involved in studying green monkeys infected by Uganda.

This fall in Uganda by Marbugr fever has died three people, while over 100 others are quarantined.

 Nipah and Hendra
The risk is hidden in the bats of the night. Nipah was first introduced in 1998 in the village of the same name in Malaysia. The virus was carried by night bats, and that year had killed thousands of pigs, while passing among people within a few weeks, causing the deaths of one hundred people.

Nipah ranks in the fourth category, the highest of the biological risk. His "cousin" is the hens, a virus that in 1994 passed from Australia to horses and killed some people. The hay virus is also transmitted by night bats living in South Asia.

Congo fever
It was first recorded in 1944 in Crimea and then in 1969 in Congo.

But in some of the last few years, this disease has been reported in Southeast Europe.

Wild and domestic animals, such as sheep and cows, are the natural reservoirs of the virus considered one of the beneficiaries of climate change and global warming.
Infection is caused by direct contact with the blood of infected animals. The virus in affected people causes hemorrhagic fever and non-functioning of organs.

Zika
Carried from tropical mosquitoes. It originated in Africa and named after the tropical mountain near Lake Victoria in Uganda, where in 1947 it was first isolated in the monkeys.

The virus then spread through Equatorial Africa and later in Asia, Polynesia and some years ago in America.

People get infected after aggressive mosquito bites. Most infected people do not have any symptoms, but lice is very dangerous for pregnant women because the infection with this virus during pregnancy may result in the birth of a baby with microcephalia, a rare born deformation where the baby is born with a head lower and brain damage.

 Dense fever
Over 50 million people are infected annually. It's about tropical diseases, caused by tropical swans and tigers. Symptoms are high temperature, headache, muscle and nodal pain, and in even worse cases the bloodshed that may cause death.

Ebola
It was first introduced in 1976, in a village near Ebola River in Congo, and after that, twenty epidemics of this disease were recorded in Africa.
The worst epidemic was in West Africa, where during the period 2013 to 2016 11,300 people died.

The bearers of this illness are bats of the night. People get infected with blood, bodies or other bodily fluids of monkeys infected by night bats. Symptoms of the disease are high temperature, fever, headache, nausea, dizziness, bleeding, coma and death.
