Thank you for your post I enjoyed it. I am from the United States and wonder what eel taste is like but I don't know if we have any common foods,

    Probably the easiest way to try eel in the States is at a sushi bar. You can order items such as unagi (eel in Japanese) avocado roll or unagi-don (a rice bowl with eel topping). These items do have a sauce which will flavor the eel, but it is very good.
