It's the middle of the night, you're fast asleep.
You hear something and you wake up with a jolt.
You breathe and try to wake up only to find yourself unable to move.
Confusion sets in first.
You don't understand what's happening, are you Sick? Are you dreaming?
Panic comes in right after and smacks you right down.
You can't move anymore, you can't breathe.
You hear someone, no something walk towards you.
They're not walking, it's more like dragging and crawling; like someone is running their nails along the floor.
The sound makes you cringe so hard you bite your tongue.
You can taste the blood.
More panic as you realize this is not a dream, it's too real.
You close your eyes for a second, pray to every god you've forgotten about in the last few years of your life, pray for this to be a dream, pray to be able to move; just enough to escape.
The sound gets louder, it's coming. But what is?
You can't see anything until it's all you see.
You wish you kept your eyes closed for this but now you're staring at the heart of evil and you finally understand what it means to have your heart in your chest.
You scream but no noise comes out, the pressure on your chest increases.
This thing it says nothing but it stares at you like it's taking your life away from you slowly and taunting you about how weak you are to do anything about it.
You want it to end so bad, the confusion, the fear, the taste of blood mixed with bile , the darkness, being unable to move; you just want it to end.
After what feels like hours, it finally does.
You wake up and let out a small groan, jolt out of bed to find out it was just a dream.
The lingering taste of blood and the paranoia tells you otherwise.
The feeling of wanting to rip your own head out still remains.
You stay up the rest of the night and end up writing about it because it doesn't feel like a dream and no one would understand.

I can totally understand. Sleep paralysis happens alot to me. One night it happened 4 times consecutively. I was so turned off thr rest of the night so i prayed and meditated

Hopefully you eventually got to rest. Upvoted

It's weird not knowing why it happens, I think that just makes it scarier.
I got rest nearly two days later, but I did so I'm glad for that.
It's good knowing that other people get this too and still try and manage to be okay.
