Many don't get to experience eating and sleeping at the same time. But my son has this opportunity as he is tube-fed and got to be fed overnight due to insufficient calories throughout the day.
He has two times overnight feeds (used to be 3) and we always pray and hope it won't wake him up
I always wonder can he feel something when we secretly feed him like this? Well, sleeping is a bliss. Eating is pleasure. He has both at the same time although his eating doesn't require him to chew and swallow.
He is currently slowly gradually learning and getting used to chewing and eating. Hope he will get the gist of it soon. Friends, never take for granted simple things we can do - like eating. Because there are thousands (or millions) out there who desire to eat but having disability to do so.
Always count our blessings daily.
