Autism

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, is a psycho-physical condition that affects the normal development of the person in the area: locomotor, cognitive, emotional, social and language.

Its causes can be several, including:

• Special genetic predisposition.
• Vaccines with mercury-based preservatives.
• Heavy metal contamination.
• Traumatic situations in the mother or child at an early age.
• Weakening of the digestive immune system.

Among the characteristic features of autism we can mention:

• Abnormal fixation in repetitive movements.
• Decrease or absence of social interaction.
• Decrease or absence of eye contact and expressive language.
• Unfocused look.
• Appearance of self-stimulating behaviors.
• Repetition of monosyllabic or onomatopoeic sounds not according to their chronological age.

In the educational field, it is often believed that the most important thing is to teach the child to speak, read or write. That is why they neglect the development of other faculties such as, for example, that he learns where his nose is, or that he knows how to grab the spoon.

To start helping a child with autism, we must know their initial psychomotor abilities, their balance and laterality. After, observe how your situation is in the cognitive, communication, academic, and social areas.
