Love of humanity--Spreading the kindness

This is something I shared on my fb yesterday:

I'm practically in tears now because of something that just took place. I was on my way home from dropping my daughter off at school (I stayed home cuz I have had a bad migraine for weeks now with low to high intensity levels and last night into this morning it got really bad) and on the service road that I drive down to get to where I live I saw a woman struggling to carry a laundry basket full of clothes in one hand and a big bag in the other. Sometimes around here you have to be a little conscience of who you stop for because you just never know. But I usually just take the chance because I believe in the goodness of people more than the evil. So I stopped and picked her up. As I was stopping and pulling over she dropped everything she had and almost fell over. As I waved to her to see if she wanted a ride she was so happy. The look on her face was absolutely priceless. She just lived down the street but it was quite far for her while carrying all that stuff she had. She also needed to trade in some quarters for dollars and wasn't able to do so from where she came because the machine was broken. I thought about trading it because that's about all I had left until I get paid but I just gave her the quarters and told her to keep it. I noticed her clothing was tattered a bit and of course she didn't have a vehicle so she needed it more than I did. She asked me if I believed in Jesus and I told her no. She didn't judge me for that nor did I judge her for her beliefs. I just simply said no and she said "well this was such a blessing and I'm glad there are still good people in this world." I said "well I believe in blessings and more goodness in the world than evil". She was so grateful and I was too for being able to meet such a kind hearted woman. And we wished each other a good day. I started to cry after she got out of the car thinking about all the people that had just passed her by without stopping (this is a pretty busy road). But I understand this too as we all tend to be in a hurry to get to where we need to go.
This reminded me of a video I shared yesterday of a 10 year old little girl who simply wants to see peace and kindness in this world so she makes bracelets and gives them to others to pass on after doing something kind for someone else. At just 10 years old she is already beginning to see the evil in this world but chooses instead to focus on the goodness of others to spread peace and kindness. Children have a tendency to remind us to live more peacefully. If we all do our small part we will definitely begin seeing more good and less evil. <3
