Lake Arrowhead is breathtaking. It would be absolutely easy to get lost here. If google maps or waze did not exist, there’s no chance that we could’ve made it up here safely and in the time we did. As soon as we got onto the 5, we hit traffic. When you’re in a car with your friends in traffic, it makes the ride and wait more doable.
Originally my friends and I were supposed to go to Big Bear (we went last year and played and sled in the snow) but unfortunately there weren’t any available Airbnb cabins so we got a cabin in Lake Arrowhead. The cabin we got is 3 stories, has a pool table, a mini bar, three decks, a hot tub, and a movie room. Basically this is a weekend dedicated to hanging inside to have serious hangs with the amigos.
Last night we played a classic game of beer pong and danced to Britney Spears, N*SYNC, Christina Aguilera. We ate pizza and tacos that our friends made from scratch. We spent a couple hours in the hot tub. We had 11 people in the hot tub which was a super fun time. Before we went to bed we all watched Aladdin. There’s a room on the third floor that has a projector so we all gathered inside this room with a triangle tipped ceiling. It was cozy. The scenery is like a little Christmas village vibe mixed with A Cabin in the Woods. We leave tomorrow so we have one more full day and night here. 
There’s a quietness up in the mountain. It’s kind of peaceful and slightly eerie. I could definitely not live here or hang here for a week. I’d feel so isolated. Some people would love it. Not me.
We literally parked on the edge of the cliff. It was gnarly!
Driving up here was a crazy experience because we were literally on the edge of the mountain the whole time. The drive is not a good idea for those who are afraid of heights. I’m afraid of heights but I was watching my boyfriend play his skate game on his iPad who was sitting right next to me. I had a distraction.
