A Facebook friend who is a writer was to celebrate her birthday on the 16th of this month. And she gave room to writers and intending writers to have a direct talk with her, but the person must write an article on the topic I failed my dreams, and then submit to her. That I did and felt I should share it here too in order to encourage someone and for we to see failure from a different angle.

My submission

According to the dictionary meaning, to fail means to be unsuccessful in what one is doing or what is expected of one. But then life real experiences has taught me a different meaning of the term of being a failure.

I failed my dreams! But now I appreciate the times I failed because I didn't fail in life. I have come to understand and accept failure as being part of success. I now see failures as a check point on the high way to success but that's not a license for one to fail willingly

Hear my story

I was suppose to graduate in 2017 but had some academic challenge due to finances which made me spend an extra year in the university. It was as though life had come to an end and more painfully when those who mockingly called me pastor were graduating while I was to stay back an extra year in the university.

After a while I braced up to confront the challenge I had at hand which involve raising school fees for an extra year in school, going through the stress of a supervisor for the second time and meeting those who knew and respected you as a "pastor".

In my search for how to raise school fees, I started my own blog since I was good a bit in writing and named it Inspiration and Stories:::> https://gcnstories.blogspot.com , I was writing inspirational articles, life and stories. But then Google AdSense delayed approval of my blog for earning. I abandoned the blog and moved on to learn about cryptocurrency trading from which I met someone who introduced me to a writing platform called steemit ( https://steemit.com/@inspiredgideon1). It was through this platform and the help of some people I met there that I was able to raise my school fees and getting small penny to feed myself in school.

Life moved on and I was left with the stress of my supervisor who showed himself to a devil in human clothing and at some point I felt like abandoning school but then I still pressed on. The pains was much seeing my mates doing their Nysc while I was still in school battling to get my Btech in Mathematics/Statistics but all of that ended as I eventually graduated last year.

Yes! I failed my dreams because I couldn't graduate with my mates which distorted all the plans I had but then not knowing that God was using it to build my life for the greatness ahead.

Through the one year experience in school I came to understand that when God permits pains, He has a purpose for that pain He permitted, it only requires one coming to the point of understanding what was intended by the pain God allowed. And whenever problems comes one's way, such a one should not start accusing the devil or even blaming God but rather to ask God the following questions;

1 Where do I go from here?
2 Who do I meet from here?
3 What should I learn from here?
4 When should I leave here?

With time one will understand why such pains was allowed.

Dear reader, your life may be filled with many set backs and you are almost giving up on life and God, you need to brace up and face the challenges in life. The failures you are encountering now is only writing a manuscript to guide the lives of those coming after you.

Don't run away from the challenges of your life because the rise and fall of a child is only building the bones of that child for running.
