Things I learned from playing PacMan:

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

Yesterday, while playing PacMan I realized that there were few things that can be used as strategies in life too.

The first one:

Focusing on one enemy will get you killed. So does focusing on all the enemies at once, you’ll lose concentration therefore your reaction will be slow, and you’ll end up being an easy prey. To avoid all this, you need to focus on yourself, if you were able to know your way you’ll avoid hardships and obstacles and get by.

In real life, the enemies might be people or some kind of distraction. Focusing on these things will make your vision blurred thus you end up losing your way. Focus on yourself, try to be a better person than yesterday, and do your best to ameliorate your skills.

The second one:

Even if you are cornered by your enemies, you’ll somehow manage to come up with a plan or trick them to find a way to escape. You only lose when you give up. You only lose when your mind is convinced that there’s no room for survival.

This can be applied in our lives too. Even if you are cornered by problems you’ll be able to survive no matter what, you only need to believe in yourself and have a strong will.

The third one:

It’s okay if you were slow in making the first move, as long as you’re going to become accustomed and understand the game.

The last but not least one is:

Never underestimate your enemy. Just as Robert Jordan said: “It is the enemy that you underestimate who kills you.” This enemy can be laziness or anything else.
