Contemporary Issue: Overpopulation

in life •  8 years ago

Rounded 110 billion people were born on this earth from the Stone age to today. In this second we are 7,4 billion people living on our earth. But is the growth of population such a big problem for us? For humanity? The resources on earth are restricted and even the place is restricted so what do we do if there are no more resources and if there is no more place for the people to live? If the growth of population stays constant now the humanity will be doubled in 60 years. So in 2077 14,8 billion people would live on this earth.

As you see on the picture the resources and strength of our earth is restricted, so we have to be careful with it. In my opinion it is pretty normal that the population grows but not that hard. We don't want that people die but we want that more people get born. I can't decide what is right but I know that we have to use more green energy and go easy on our earth so it can take this big load of people.

Well, as you said it's hard to say, whats right and whats wrong. But I think these statistics saying that humanity will be doubled in 60 years are wrong.

Many countries in Africa experience now, what Europe experienced a couple hundred years ago. The medication gets better and more kids survive. They soon will adapt to this like Europe did and the population will stabilize and not grow as much as now per year.

But am I wring if I say that the population will grow even more if medicine is available all over the world? I don't want to say that it's good to let people and kids die but if more people survive because of medicine, the population will grow even more im my opinion.

My point is, 200 years ago in Europe it was normal to have 10 kids, but only 6 survived because the medication was bad. Nowadays most families in Europe only have like 3 kids. Africa will soon have this kind of behaviour too. So the overall population growth will decrease and it will maybe take 90 years for the population to double. But your point could be right too. This kind of stuff is highly hypothetical.
