the waves ask me to write
to you oh human!
it says I should remind you that
in life, there are times when
things easily happen to you
and there are times you have to fight
struggle and push for them to happen.
it says I should tell you to
be true to yourself
and accept that sometimes,
the odds will be in your favor
and there are times
when it appears the odds are against you.
when these times come,
the waves say stick to your course, be prepared
to be broken and beaten and battered.
but most importantly, stay firm and hold on.
because these times won't last
forever.
the waves asked me to write this to you as a reminder that nothing lasts forever.
not good times
and definitely not the bad times.
