One of the things that occupies the human mind most of the time is achieving success. Even before we sleep, we plan what to do tomorrow to help us achieve our goals faster. There are so many motivational vloggers and speakers out there today telling you that you can achieve anything in life that you want. That no one can stop you from achieving your dreams and that anything is possible, and that No One can help you except you.

Really? So if someone wants to be invisible they can be invisible? If they want to fly they can fly? OK let’s not be a smartass here, let’s just stay with something that is natural. So if anyone wants to be rich they can be rich?
People tell you that you just need to believe in yourself and all of these things will be possible. Did you realize that this is an evil idea? No right? You see it just as advice from successful people who believed in themselves.
Motivating someone to have a better life and to do good in life is not bad. But telling someone to just trust themselves and that they have the power to change everything in their life will result in something bad in the future.
If you look at these people, they only believe in themselves, they give high value to themselves and their achievements. What is wrong with that?
By practicing this ideology, later on, as your achievements pile up, you will see yourself as someone supreme, someone superior. You only rely on yourself later on you will find out that you don’t believe in God anymore.
That’s the problem with this ideology. It slowly removes God from your life.
These people are trying to brainwash you that success in life is the only way that people can be happy. They are targeting human weakness which is the desire to be great.
I'm not saying that good life and success are evil, just make sure that you glorify God and not yourself for having that great life and success.
This is the plot of Evil, Evil wants you to take away God out of your life, if you will believe that you can do everything without God’s help, soon you will only trust yourself and will start to neglect God.
Brothers and Sisters, This life is not about ourselves, this life that we have right now is about discovering God and finding the path to Him. Everything else will disappear in the end, those greatness's, and wealth will eventually be forgotten. You can’t bring those to the afterlife, you can’t also tell God that you have been great on this earth by just believing in yourself.
What I am trying to say here really is instead of putting your faith in what you can do, have faith in God that with His grace, you can be a better person. Don’t disregard Him. Those talents and skills will not be yours if not for God who gave us all. Believe in God. No matter how much you force your life if God will not allow it, it will never happen. Believe that everything you received by doing good is a grace from God, not because you worked hard but because God has blessed you.
Proverbs 3:5-6
⁵Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
⁶In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
⁷Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
⁸It will be healing to your flesh
and refreshment to your bones.
