So you just head over to discord and set up an account, probably suggest using the same username, then if you ever see a discord link on steemit you can click it and join the group that it's for. Otherwise there is a place in the top-left to direct message a single user.

Oh thanks @jakeybrown I looked on the steemit site but couldn't find it...if discord is actually an external app or site that would explain why I couldn't see it here! Hopefully will catch you over there soon⭐️
