The measure of a mature person is not how well they prepare for everything to go right, but on how they stand up and move on after everything goes wrong - Author Unknown
Maturity for the Better.
Let us first rely on the meaning of Maturity by Vocabulary.com :
- Maturity is achieved when something reaches its full level of development. Easy enough when you're perfectly ripe peach. Maturity isn't so easy to accomplish or achieve.
and as what Cambridge Dictionary defines :
- A state of completely grown, mentally and emotionally well-developed, and therefore responsible.
A complete realization
I have lots of thoughts how maturity can turn thing around me. It will really change the way I handle things, and the result of these things when handled maturely. Then I came up to realize the best about these things :
Better Time Management
This is the thing I've been struggling of in many years. How to handle things to make it in a complete time frame. My solution to this is listing everything, then tackle them one by one.
Better results
When things are handle maturely, most of the time the result will be big, far better than the normal.
You are respected
Because you are doing things responsibly, people will respect you. They will respect your ideas and opinions, in a sense that you do things thinking outside the box.
Wider pool of connections
I believe an established connection is a big factor towards success. You are in complete talks with people that shares the same goal as you. Connections are easy when things are being handled maturely.
Optimism Partnered with Realism
Things that you look upon with optimism but is still in line with the nature of reality. Things that are attainable, it may be tangible of intangible. You look forward to the possibilities that exist in the future. Being mentally prepared when things are tackled with real life situations.
What is Maturity in your Point of View?

I like the quote:
It goes without saying that some people are mature thinkers and become successful despite their young age.

Maturity is something I can achieve at a given situation... but sometimes keeping a childlike part of yourself can create balance in life! :)

To me there is a gray area between maturity and immaturity. For exampke, you have a guy who works, makes his own money, pays his taxes, takes care of his family, etc but he slacks off at work, and parties like a college student. If he has his life together then sure he caN enjoy a party all he wants but does it hinder him because he has a family to take care of? Is he mature or immature?

Maturity is a state of completely grown, mentally and emotionally well-developed. As long as the thought mentioned above is achieved, the person is mature.
If things are being handled responsibly, the person is mature. In the case above, I'd say he is immature. This word slacks off at work is my 1st thought of immaturity.

I think old is relative, but adult is an option. sometimes someone is old but his way of thinking is immature, and sometimes his age is young but his thoughts are very mature.

Exactly @iskanultaufik, maturity is never measured by age, but mental readiness. 😀

I think maturity is subject to mind with age factor and carrier. Decision is all that matters.

You may have worked for how many years at the company; you know all the processes and how it runs, you may rendered all your free time to the company just to do the over and over ‘’OTs’’, you may upgrade your skills through continues learning such reading and enrolling again for a masteral degree BUT STILL someone or anyone will eventually suggest you to move to the next stage. And in that way you can tell that LEARNING IS A CONTINOUS PROCESS and so does MATURITY. And it’s not because you know almost everything, thus so the world changes a lot everyday too. Moreover, through that everyday changes and some minor flaws we encounter along the way – WE GAIN A LEVEL UP STAGE in OUR MATURITY. Bad times will mold us to become better and wiser. What a timely blog you have! :)
