Inspirational Letter : To You Who's Been Cheated On

in life •  7 years ago

IT'S okay to cry. It's okay to feel the pain until it hurts no more. You've been hurt and betrayed by the person you loved and trusted. You gave everything to make your relationship work. You tried to be a good, if not the best, partner. You've exerted enough or maybe more than enough amount of effort but to no avail. He found someone else. Someone he thought was better than you. Someone who can make him happier. That hurts, obviously. That's why you can't stop your tears from falling down.

You might have a lot of regrets right now. Why did you allow him to enter your life in the first place? Why did you let him occupy a big space in your heart? Why did you invested so much emotions in your relationship? Why did you gave him so many chances with the hopes that he won't do it again? Why did you choose to be blind on his wrong doings? You wouldn't have been this devastated right now if you've opened your eyes from the painful reality earlier.

But stop. Stop blaming yourself. Stop asking questions. Stop thinking about the what ifs and could have beens. He cheated on you. He chose to betray you at the expense of your relationship. He wasted you and the love you gave. You shouldn't regret over loving him. You shouldn't blame yourself for loving too much because you have a good heart. You love so deeply, you value people so much and you know how to treasure the people that matters to you. And that is a gift because not all are capable of doing that.

Loving someone has never been wrong. Getting hurt because of love is inevitable and that is fact. Love and pain are a package deal. You can't choose just one of them because they always come together as one.

Let him choose the other one. You deserve better. If he truly loves you, then there'd be no "other one". You're not a second option and you shouldn't share him with anyone. His love was supposed to make you feel happy, treasured and secured. If he can't give you that kind of love, then you're better off away from each other.

To you who's been cheated on, I know it's a traumatizing experience. It makes you afraid to fall in love because you don't want to go through the same kind of pain again. But please don't stop loving. People are different from each other. Not everyone will cheat on you. Allow yourself some time to heal but you should open it again eventually. You have to allow it to love bravely once more.

The best is yet to come. Always remember that.

Absolutely correct my friend and howdy from Texas where most people, if their mate goes out on them..well they always have their horse!
Listen to @jassennessaj ladies.."His love was supposed to make you feel happy, treasured and secured. If he can't give you that kind of love, then you're better off away from each other." that right there is the way your man should make you feel. If he don't then time to re-examine your relationship because like the man said you deserve better. God bless you jassennessaj!

Yeah. I will be waiting for him..even it takes forever.. hehehhe

I've experienced this. I've cheated on and also I cheated too but that was a long time ago. Now, I've changed a lot. This is an eye opener for those who are planning to cheat on their partner. Well said paps @jassennessaj
