Sitting in the dark with the wind howling outside. The kids are slowly drifting off one by one. Our dog has his American flag t-shirt on for anxiety (... he's not a little dog either). The windows creaking and the shutters clanking. The house is getting stuffy... I hate the feeling of being trapped with no peaking to what's going on outside. I let my wife put a clay mask on my face out of boredom and the cool feeling of the clay helped calm my nerves. The feeling of "we got this", followed immediately with a feeling of terror as a gust of wind rips through the neighborhood... the winds screams. As the light was fading on the day you could see the neighborhood ponds almost topped off to the brim (3ft higher over the course of the day). I wait for morning to fire up the generator and get back a little normality. .. but tonight we dance!
