Is Traditional Dating Fading?

in life •  7 years ago

I not only think that the line between dinner and dates are consistently blurred, or more so the simple fact of what constitutes as a date or "quality time" when in a relationship, but the way we go about conversing in intimacy has changed immensely.
Our generation is more concerned with shallow-level arguments, surveilling their other half, and online interactions, than they are anything else. The concept of of connecting on a greater level is not just ignored, but dominated by the effortless act of being together yet being elsewhere, mentally, at the same time.
Small gestures such as opening the door, pulling out chairs, and doing the dishes, should be acknowledged and appreciated a little more each time (in my opinion).
The best things in life are abundantly free.
