The most beautiful library in China 天津最美图书馆

Borges once said, "if there is a heaven, heaven should be like a library."

Tianjin, the "most beautiful library in China", has attracted many people to punch in CARDS since its opening. On weekends, the queue at the gate is 200 meters long, even causing traffic jams. The design of the library is different from that of the traditional library.

Seen from a distance, the indoor book mountain is unique, with 34 white steps, giving people a feeling of meditation in the universe. It embodies the connotation that "the book mountain has diligence as its path".

Although it looks empty, it has no shortage of functionality. According to the report, the library has set up 1,500 reading seats, and currently has 180,000 books. The number of new books will continue to increase, and the final target will be 1.3 million.
The white, wavy steps are bookshelves and chairs. Readers can "climb the stairs", meet their favorite books and sit on the floor.

This time, the library has many and clear functional areas, more like a stylish cultural center.

The building has six floors, reading areas for children and the elderly, reading rooms and rest areas with a large collection of books, as well as computer rooms, offices, video rooms and conference rooms.

The library was designed by the Dutch MVRDV design studio in cooperation with tianjin planning and design institute.

There are also many places to eat, drink coffee and sell flowers. If you want to spend a literary and artistic day, this is a good choice.

天津这个"中国最美图书馆"，自开放之初，就吸引了很多人前去打卡，一到周末，门口的队伍长达200米，甚至引发堵车。该图书馆的设计与传统图书馆不同，很前卫很有科技感。

从远处看，室内的书山很独特，由34层白色阶梯，让人有种在宇宙当中沉思的感觉。体现了“书山有路勤为径”的内涵。

尽管看上去很空旷，但是功能一点也不少。据介绍，图书馆设置阅览席位1500个，目前已有图书18万册，新书将不断增加，最终目标将达130万册。

白色波浪状的阶梯既是书架，又是座椅。读者可以“爬楼梯”，碰到喜欢的书，席地而坐。

而这次的图书馆有非常多而且清晰的功能区，更像一座有格调的文化中心。

整个建筑有6层，儿童、老年人阅读区，藏书丰富的阅览室和休息区还有电脑室、办公室、音像室和会议室等。

该图书馆是由荷兰的MVRDV 设计工作室与天津规划设计院合作设计。

建筑内还有很多吃饭、喝咖啡、卖花的地方。如果想要度过文艺的一天，这里会是一个很好的选择。
