Colossians 3:12-13

It is important for us to realize that sometimes people offend us and they are either accused in the court of law or they are arrested. In many occassion we may win the case and the offender may be jailed or even asked to pay a fine. According to the Law of the country that is fine. However does this translate to forgiving? No, this is just justice served. Serving a jail sentence and paying a fine doesn't mean that one is forgiven or one has forgiven. The offended still has to find it in their hearts to forgive the offender. In other words justice served is not forgiveness. Today I urge us to release men and women who may have offended us and paid for their offense either through a court order or our own verdict. Find it in your heart to forgive and release them despite the jail term or fine paid.

let us forgive one another because we are not 100% perfect. (ROMANS 3:23) forgiveness heals the wound in our heart.

Yes, I do think that we should learn to forgive, but only if ex offenders are actually sorry
