Master Review of Lee Michaels - Tell Me How Do You Feel; (Don't Want No) Woman; My Friends; Frosty's; Think I'll Go Back

This was a monumental rock medley -- just a nuclear powered Hammond organ and a machine gun precise drummer. Lee Michaels' vocals are so great I am amazed rock radio seldom plays his stuff.

He is relegated to one-hit status because he had one hit -- yet, his albums were filled with gold. Compared to many more famous vocalists it's laughable to compare them to Lee. He rivals Robert Plant, Terry Reid and Roger Daltry as a screamer. Lee's blues power is beyond their ability. Just listen to "Stormy Monday," & "Rock Me, Baby," for examples.

Frosty's drum solo with it's technical, melodic assault is straight out of the Gene Krupa showcase. Frosty was a master of this style -- his drum solo was not just beats but it followed an impeccably clean musically percussive pattern. This was definitely a solo well-thought out and planned.
