Freedom and its limitations - Run as Fast as You Can

Freedom is a condition in which people have the opportunity to speak, act and pursue happiness without unnecessary external restrictions. Freedom is important because it leads to enhanced expressions of creativity and original thought, increased productivity, and an overall high quality of life.

The idea of freedom is complex, and it must be redefined and defended anew by each generation. Moreover, the value of freedom can only be understood and appreciated by those who have a sense of the past and a highly developed understanding of human nature. Quite often, people who live in freedom tend to ignore its fragility and take it for granted. Conversely, people who have not been raised within a long-standing tradition of freedom have trouble understanding and implementing it in their society.

There is no such thing as absolute freedom, especially within large political jurisdictions such as cities and countries. All freedom requires compromise between the rights of the individual and the goals and obligations of the state. As a result, there are many laws, regulations and judicial pronouncements regarding the ideals of freedom and the details of how it is to be practised.

Around the world, many countries have adopted carefully written documents to define and protect their freedoms. In the United States, essential freedoms are guaranteed by the Bill of Rights, a part of the U.S. Constitution. The most well known rights are the freedoms of religion, speech, the press, peaceable assembly, and petitioning the government.

For the western world, freedom is possible because leaders give consideration to the rights and privileges of the people who voted them into power, except in military rules, where military leaders impose their ideas and conditions on the people they govern forcefully, which is mostly common in developing countries of the world.

In my own opinion and as a Government student, we were taught those days that “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely”. Many leaders of the world tend to limit people’s freedom and trample on people’s human rights, which was also why coup d’état is common in those parts of the world.

All the above quotable quotes are what we should ponder and try to be ourselves and not someone else because we are in a free world. The world is large enough for us to operate.

I was not happy when Andreas informed us on steemit that people have been impersonating him in the past, why? It then means that such people are limiting themselves to being Andreas or being someone different from wha God has destined for them to be. But they forgot that they were created in the image of God, why not try to imitate God in wisdom, loving, patience, goodness, almighty, knowledge-wise and all the good things that are associated with God Himself. The moment we learn and begin to be ourselves, the better for us for originality makes us confidence and only then we shall aspire for greatness, for greatness is not limited to only one quality but so many qualities beyond our imagination. Try and be as natural and original as possible.

That was why Ludwig says that the limits of a man’s language mean the limits of his world. Look at the image below and tell us the boundaries of this world – limitless, I think; so do not limit yourself, break out from the shackles of those holding you down, nobody can do it for you, help yourself and He that God sets free is free indeed. Congratulations on all your effort on syeemit, that is part of breaking away from grass to grace.

David Peck in his contribution to "Good Leaders Have Good Interfaces" stated that:

When people’s experiences interacting with a leader are negative, the leader is going to be less effective than he or she could be — after all, whenever others must spend extra time and energy adapting to a leader’s problematic Human Use Interface (HUI), they won’t be bringing out their best.

Consider leaders who people admire greatly. Think of Nelson Mandela or Martin Luther King, Jr. They had amazing HUIs. They knew their impact was inspiring, authentic, and compelling, and their leadership was extraordinary.

Now consider someone you know or work with who may be somewhat to very unaware of how he or she impact others. They may have a clunky or immature interface, or overuse their authority over others — or just a bad relational habit or two that require others to do extra work to have a smooth interaction with them. Such people lack a great HUI and are certainly not practicing conscious self-awareness of their impact.

The more aware you are of how you interaction impacts others, the more likely you can lead them in a positive, inspiring, sustainable way. It’s that simple. The reverse is also true.

Freedom of Information Act in Nigeria - Are you free in the real sense of freedom?

Prof. Wole Shoyinka was there at the “sensitization of journalists and the general public on the Freedom of Information (FOI) at Otta, Ogun State, Nigeria.

Fight for your freedom, embrace your freedom yourself and remove that limitation you placed on yourself for I am not limited, I refuse to accept the spirit of limitation in my life for God has created me different from any other person. I am who I am - A free person. Cheers.

Hmmmmmmm freedom is sweet; steem on. I hereby highly welcome our friend "the real aantonop" to steem it.
