This tree in my neighbors yard has thrived for the last 5 yrs, but this past winter was extremely cold in Nj a few days around New Years dipped below -1deg F and that’s enough to literally kill back to the roots! Don’t know if even covering it this past winter would of helped. Don’t know the variety but most likely a Mt Etna type Fig, very good, and this really is a shame! But good news it is springing back up from the roots, it’s a little late got brand new growth don’t know if Figs will have enough time to fully develop and ripen! We shall see!
