Walking down the streets, in Downtown Vancouver; It feels like home. On every corner on every street, I always see my favorite car brands: BMW, Mercedes and Audi. Sure, I know how rich people are and that having those cars means something: simply being rich and privileged. It doesn’t matter if they are barely able to drive it – obviously most of those people utterly struggle driving such massive, big cars.
So when I walk down the streets, it simply hurts to see HOW they drive each of the nice new BMW models or the Mercedes SLK – not to mention the Audi Q7. Sure, I know, yes you are rich. You probably have three of those nice vehicles under our ass back home. Maybe also a Land Rover or Jeep, just in case you’ll leave this city and want to actually use your Canada Goose Jacket and go into the mountains…I get that. Status is all that counts. And yes, BMW, Mercedes and Audi might contribute to a better feeling and to your status. But it just simply hurts to see that each of those wonderful cars has more than 200 hp…and truly will never be used as such. So why would you drive a massive car that possibly is able to speedup up to 250 km/h when you’re not even allowed to drive 50 km/h – 70 km/h? It hurts my pride, my emotions and my need for speed…
