Living in a van

in life •  7 years ago

I get asked a lot of questions about living in my van. I encourage those questions! I love people to be curious about what I do! That means they are not making judgements on how they think it should be. My motto is live life on your own terms. Please feel free to ask any questions you like!

A little about how it started....After a nasty divorce after 30 years of a not nice marriage and a friend who was a con man not a friend I found myself at 50 yrs old in a place I had bever been! I owned my own home and have a good job. It was a cute little place by the lake sitting on an acre lot. BUT financially and physically it was a huge load! I travel for my job and was never really home except on weekends. To cut lawn, haul wood and mop floors. I was broke (-$245,000 and 2 mortgages) and tired.

Then a man came into my life and litterly showed me something was not only possible but something I did on weekends and vacations as often as I could only do it all the time! I could also move my income onto my laptop so I would not have to live by a frozen river in the winter. Lol!

I own a 1969 Ford Econline. I have owned a custom ford van for 30 years. I have travelled both the Canada and the US in those vans! You see I already did it. Just had to adjust the van and my thinking! Think outside the box!

Today I own 2 vans no house. One I play with! One I live in! I still work full time but retirement is within sight! My Network Marketing business is growing. I reduced my debt load to $20,000. I am almost free. I can taste it!

The moral of the story..... Never say Never cause ya Never know!

Cheers!
