If you like warm and sunny this is your place. This is our trip to Oahu. We spent 4 days travelling the island and sightseeing. You can travel the whole island in one day, it’s not that big. They have different busses running the island so you can go just about anywhere. It’s beautiful here. Definitely a place I would move to.
We did learn a few things about the island. It is very touristy. Most people are familiar with Waikiki beach and this side of the island. The airport and Pearl Harbor is on this side of the island. This is where the fine dining and shopping is. But if you want to get the Hawaiian feel you need to get up to the north shore. I wish we would have spent more time on the north shore but we were pushed on time, we tried to do too much.
A couple of thing I would recommend if you visit Oahu,
- Go to a Luau! Obviously!
- Pearl Harbor
- Polynesian center
- Diamond head
- Swap meet at aloha stadium
- Go to the north shore
- And enjoy yourself. Take some surf lessons or go scuba diving.
I know there are so many things you can do. These were recommended by people when we got there.
Don’t forget they run on Hawaiian time, “you get there, when you get there!”
