Cheapest way to make HEMPSEED Milk !!!

in life •  7 years ago

Hi everybody ,

Apart from traveling to Africa and writing my storys down , i also want to share other stuffs that i think could be interesting for some of you !

For example HempseedMilk and how to make it CHEAP !

As i heard about the benefits of hempseeds i started to look for some and immediatly found out that it has a quiet expensive price / kilogram wich is around 10 to 15 €'s for 1 kg.

So now.. i found out where to get it cheaper ..

Fishingstores who sell bate for fishing often use hempseeds because fishes also know whats good for them , well unless they get caught ofcourse :)

I found a 20Kg bag of hempseeds for 50€ delivered in my house so that means 2.5€ /Kg unpealed hempseeds , so actually 4x more seeds than in the foodstore. 35€ if you go and pick it up yourself , but for me that wold have costed me more fuel so i had them ship it !

I'm gona show you how easy it is to make this !

First you need to take your tools ready : a mixer , anything to mix in , i used this glass jar , a strainer and a nut cloth or muslin and bowl

[IMG][/IMG]

Than take 2 large cups of seeds for about 1 liter of water and rinse them very good !
As this is meant for fishing there are some few pieces of corn and grains inside , very little , but they are there , while i rinse them i try to take out the most of them but i dont think they are harmfull so if any left there it wouldnt be a problem..it is 4x cheaper so not as processed as the 15€ /kg seeds ...

After rinsing poor all the seeds into the jar and add the right amount of water for your type of jar so that when you mix everything doesnt fly around in your kitchen ;)

MIX 2 full minutes !!!

Now pour everything in your bowl and rinse the jar and hang the nut cloth inside the jar :

After you squeeze as much milk out of the nut cloth as possible and put the remains of the seeds in the fridge for other uses like veggi burgers or lots of other recipes or give it to your chickens , there egg-quality might also improve ;)

So now you have your milk you can do alot of different things with it and let your creativity speak for itself .
Here is how i do it for now because i have the ingredients .
I add 3 big spoons of honey as sweetener , 1 good coffespoon of cinnamon powder , 1 spoon of Moringa powder and 2 tablespoons olive oil ..

[IMG][/IMG]

Mix all of this again and you should have a nice and tasty healthy hempseedmilk !

Bon apetit ! Smakelijk ! hope you enjoy !

That is an awesome guide. You make it look really easy and I feel encouraged to try. Suppose it is the same method with other seeds or nuts? Following you. Enjoy!

Yes it is very easy !! and you dont need alot of tools , and YES you could add any kind of nuts or seeds and mix them along ! works perfect :) ;) Do some experiments and you will finally find the taste you like for yourselves :) Good luck !

I like your post. Thank u for shearing this process

thankYou !

Awesome guide, I have to do this, looks delicious.

If you like you could always share a bag with some friends for 10€ per person, 5 people could have 6kg wich is good for about 40 days if you would use 150 gram per day ! So 10€ per month lets say ..is a very cheap source of proteins !
