2017 Yankton Riverboat Days & Summer Arts Festival began this evening with the traditional opening ceremonies at Yankton's Riverside Park. In it's 34th year Riverboat Days attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the Yankton community during the weekend.
AM 1450 KYNT's Scott Kooistra ( also a previous Riverboat Days Captain, 1997) served as the program's Master of Ceremonies:

It takes a lot of work & and effort from many good people in the Yankton community to make events like this a success and year in and year out Riverboat Days continues to be a summertime event that people from around the region make sure is on their list of things to do.
