A trip around the garden before preparations for Winter. 🕷🌻⛄

I am still living in an upside down house with furniture everywhere, they house looks a mess. I am waiting for hubby to finish the decorating in the living room. Our next job is to go out and order new carpets and get them fitted, luckily our local carpet shop is offering free fitting. I am still in minds whether i want laminate floor in the living room as its much easier to keep clean. Hubby & Nichola want carpets, I think i may be outvoted.

The weather hasn't bee to bad today, we have had 2 days of rain, today the skies are clearer and brighter so i decided to see what was happening in the garden. I got to the middle of my side garden before i stopped as there was a massive cobweb stopping me getting to the hose pipe, just as well we have had a lot of rain and the pots are still wet, i wasn't going to break up all his hard work, must have took the little fellow ages to build his house.

I don't mind him staying there for the time being, the more flies he catches the better, there will be trouble if he catches any Bee's or Butterfly's, he will get evicted if i find any being held hostage. He can be my garden guardian for the time being. I am going to keep a close eye on him to see what he is up to.

I was allowed to get to the other half of my garden where the last of my Sunflowers are. These are the last ones for the year. I have a couple, there smaller than my Summer Sunflowers but still very pretty.

Once these start to die off i will cut the heads off then let the head dry out so i can save the seeds for next year. I tried saving last years seeds for this year but unfortunately my seeds went mouldy. I am hoping this year it work out and i get flowers from my very own flowers. That would make a good post for next year.

I still have a bit of work to add to my gardening journal which will be a massive help for next year. My journal will tell me what plants have grown well and the ones to avoid. I have a few extra plans for next year, new shelving unit, a bigger Bee & Butterfly space with lots more Bee friendly flowers and more going on on the decked area.

It will soon be time to wrap the plants up with Frost sheets for the Winter, I also lay some on top of the soil on my fruit plants s they don't get drowned with all the rain. Every year i learn a little bit more.
