We are coming to the end of 4 weeks in isolation in the UK, we have been told we have to stay in isolation for another 3 weeks before they will look at what's happening. Its going to be a long 3 weeks.
All i seem to be doing is sleeping, I'm getting so much rest but its unfortunately not relaxing with worrying about what's going on around the world. All those deaths of innocent people breaks my heart, its a nightmare that we are all living through. Once i wake up i have to do something to stop me thinking, i have to focus on something else. The only thing that keeps me focused is my garden.
I am trying to do an hour or so pottering around getting little bits done so when the weather warms up i won't have so much to do then i can sit back and enjoy what i have grown. My fruit trees have been getting out of hand plus the trellis i was using wasn't secured to the wall, and the vines weren't trained to grow through the trellis. I have now secured the trellis plus cut my fruit trees back so i can start training them to grow around the trellis.
I still have to do the same to my Raspberry bush, I'll get hubby to secure the trellis before the bush grows to thick to handle.
I am happy to see the Crocus bulbs i planted starting to sprout, i have 2 pots filled with Crocus bulbs, I am going to stand these on my decked area where i can see them from where i sit through the day.
The 10ft Holly hock seeds i planted are growing really well, once they get stronger I'll transfer them to a pot outside, these will stand alongside my Sumflowers to add some colour and hopefully attract the Bees & Butterflies. It will soon be time to start planting my other flower seeds and get my garden filled will beautiful smelling flowers for me to enjoy.
I am going to have plenty time to get my garden done plus with hubby off work for so long he can now keep busy helping me instead of turning into a couch potato. Going back to work is going to be very painful as he has a heavy job on a builders site.
Its bed time again, another day over, counting down to being free again.
It's really relaxing to deal with plants. I also try to focus on my garden and animals and real less news.
