The most perfect B&B. Got to be tried to be believed.

I want to tell you about the beautiful place me and hubby stayed at over Saturday night. My daughter Jessica has gone on about how fabulous this B&B she goes to every year for her birthday she has been going for the last 4 years Now knowing my daughter and how she likes things I thought this has got to be special as she is so fussy and likes to be looked after but then I thought isn't one B&B much the same as the others.

She proved me wrong

Grovewood House is situated in Whitehaven, Carlise, UK

Its a beautiful house with plenty of space for your car, the bottom 2 windows are the room where I stayed so perfect for anyone with a disability. You have 2 rooms, the first room is your bedroom with TV, Free WIFI, Fridge, Kettle, Toaster, etc. the 2nd room is your luxury bathroom with Spa bath which has lights and music plus a massive walk in spa shower, I spent most my time in here You are supplied with all the essentials, bath sheets, dressing gowns, Shampoo, conditioner, spa shower gel, shower caps, there is a hairdryer in your bedroom.

As you can see we moved in pretty quickly, with only staying the one night we had no time to wait around.

ROOM 2

What made this B&B special is the people that run it, they look after you, make sure you have everything you need and fill your fridge for you with Milk, Fresh Orange Juice, Freshly sliced Grapefruit, Sliced Cheese, Sliced Meats, Yogurts and Eggs, she will make you fresh Homemade bread and Home made Flapjacks, there will be bagels and ordinary bread plus canisters of breakfast cereal plus if you want a cooked breakfast or a meal you can ask her and she will make it for you.

When we first got there we parked up, she was outside doing the gardening, when we spoke to her she had forgot we were coming, this we thought would spoil our stay she asked us to wait a couple of hours so she could finish the room as it was half done, there is a public house about a 5 minute walk away which we went to but they had just stopped serving food so we had a drink then went to Asda to waste sometime. When we got back we weren't in a very good mood BUT she soon made us feel better showing us around, when she left we looked in the fridge which was packed with lovely things to eat plus she had said when we were going out for our meal she would put some fresh fruit in the room, fresh home made bread and other treat in the fridge.

When we got back from our meal the fridge was stocked with loads of meats & cheeses then after around an hour there was a knock on the door with my fresh bread that was still warm. They had also bough me a treat to celebrate my birthday, a bottle of Prosecco in a silver bucket filled with Ice and 2 champagne glassed. She also said since we didn't get in the room until later we didn't have to leave until 1pm instead of 10am which was a massive help

After only meeting this couple for the first time I feel as if they are good friends, they care about you and want you to have the best time. They have a visitors book which we looked through, going back 5 years there was not one single person moaning, I even saw my daughters posts giving them 10 out of 10.

I am already looking forward to going back, it's the perfect place if you need to relax and chill out. Its in a quiet area wit a public house nearby that supposedly sells amazing food. Its advertised at £110 a night. Its definitely worth it.
