A great friend of mine, Tony Robbins once said that “if a man is not growing, then he is dying” and that is very true. If we don’t grow, we will die there is no middle option.
Every life need to grow in other to be satisfactory. We all need to attain a particular height in our lives if we want to enjoy our lives. But believe me, not all growth satisfies.
A lot of people think that having a million naira or a billion naira will satisfy them but it won’t.
I know you probably might say something like “wow, a billon bucks, I mean there is a lot I can do with that and I will be satisfied” but, wait until you have it then you will see my point.
Believe me, no cars, or houses or friends or all the possessions in the world can satisfy you. If think I’m lying, check out Luke 12 vs. 15.
“When a person has an abundance, his life dose not result from the things he possess”
Satisfaction can only come from being happy. And, true happiness can only come from God. Luke 11-28.
True satisfaction comes from being happy and this is a choice we have to consciously make each day of our lives, in every situation we find ourselves into, we have to consciously decide to be happy no matter what.
Be happy in your work, in your relationships and with your health and you will discover that your life will be satisfactory.
It’s unfortunate though that our brain as old and powerful as it is, is not meant to make us happy because it is always looking for what is wrong.
Even in your own wedding day, your brain will still be looking for what is not right and believe me, there is a hundred percent chance that things will definitely go wrong.
Accidents will happen, mistakes will be made and things will be lost but finding the strength and courage to remain happy in moments and situations like this will always bring you satisfaction.
Believe it or not, the courage and strength you need can only be found in God because he cares for you Isaiah 48-17.
A life that satisfies is a life that is happy in God. A life that gives Acts 20-35, a life that hears the word of God and keeps it Luke 11-28 and a life that loves Mathew 22-39,
A life that is conscious of the things of the spirit Mathew 5-3 and a life that is content with it has 1Timothy 6-8.
The ultimate life is a satisfied life and a satisfied life is a product of a happy life. Let’s learn to be happy, regardless of the situations and circumstances around us and our lives will never remain the same.
