SERIOUSLY. ......well I guess the upside is.....

Good Morning my fellow steemians! I hope that you all had a peaceful and restful night :) I would like to share with you how my night went. It's 5:31 am and I just got home...I'm super tired! A few days ago I got bit on my right foot twice . One bite was on the side of my pinky toe and one bite was on the top of my foot by my ankle.

Both bites were very painful . I kept an eye on them ...they were like a little blister that popped then sunk in kinda like a volcano. On the second day they much larger ...super red and inflamed. Today my entire foot was so swollen that it felt as if my skin was going to rip wide open. I can't move my pinky toe or roll my ankle. I also cannot walk on my foot.

So I decide to go to the hospital...I have had cellulitis before from an infected tattoo and my skin did rip open...damaging my tattoo sadly...and I didn't want anything like that to happen again.

I wore a flip flop on my left foot and a sock on my right since it was so swollen. When I got in there my blood pressure and heartrate were up pretty high but I was upset and crying ...I mean on a scale of 1-10 my pain was definitely a 9 . I also had a slight temperature.

Luckily there was no wait... the doctor came right in. He took my sock off and knew right away I had a massive infection going on. I had a red line all the way up my foot ..which he said is a sign of blood infection. Speaking of that...that was next they drew blood...and I'm a hard stick . It took about 25 minutes and they finally butterflied it out of my wrist.

I told the doctor that my foot looked like a zombie foot my skin was peeling and the wounds were gross...well come to find out the doctor tells me it looks like I was bitten by a brown recluse spider...are you serious?!

After being there for hours upon hours....I was finally able to go home. My instructions were to takes 500 mg of Cephalexin 4 times a day and 800-160 mg of Bactrim 2 times a day. Wow that's alot of antibiotics. Also clean it several times a day ...put fresh dressing and triple antibiotic cream on foot and covered with a sock. Stay off my foot and keep it elevated ( that's putting me on hold with my packing and moving) The upside to that is I will be on steemit alot :) And finally I was told to eat lots and lots of yogurt since all that antibiotic would kill the good stomach bacteria as well as the bad.

The bites are so much bigger and ugly. My foot is in so much pain that I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep...sigh. that was my day..I sure hope yours was better :)
