I always have so much going on but never get to actually finish anything, I have to slow down and finish one task at a time :)

Exactly! that will help you make a bigger dent in your to-do list too :)

Too get that list finished would be a massive weight lifted :)

Wouw I really liked this post. I was watching the headlines in your blog and I think you are blogging about very interesting topics. This one I really want to implement, no more multitasking.

Thank you so much!

Thank you, this is a really important topic to bring up, a lot of people are suffering from stress, and multi-tasking makes it all worse. I remember news coverage about multi-tasking in the past that idealised it. Now that new reserach is showing the negative effects, hopefully people will listen, and try to stop this bad habit. I try to avoid it myself, but it´s not always easy.

Great post @kaylinart!!! Stress is definitely one of the biggest problems in our society... but, can we really stop it? I'll try to stop multitasking for a while :)

Try it! I think it will really help you.

All goes back to the 80/20 rule. Focus on the one thing that produces 80% of your results but only takes 20% of your time up.

aGREED! I love the 80/20 rule

Your mind cannot focus on more than one thing at a time anyway!
exactly right. Those who claim to be able to are fooling themselves. What they are really doing is focusing on one thing after another sequentially very rapidly...and as you say, they make mistakes.

They have attention span of a gnat.

What do these photos have to do with your article??

I never understood why so much people were proud of their "multitasking" at work... They juggle tirelessly with their screens, phone calls, physical interactions. They think it is positive, but at one time they feel exhausted and depressed. Because of their ideal goal of multitasking, when they will have no more the energy, they will feel useless.
