Why You Should NEVER Think Long Term!

Long term thinking is STUPID! Why would you want to think long term, I mean by that time your life will be perfect, and you'll have everything that your heart could ever want.
You may not have what you want right now, But later down the road, you will. There is always tomorrow, And at some point, you'll win that lottery!

Patience Is Often Rewarded

When you are patient, you get what you want. So you don't have to think long term. All those Go-getters won't get what they want Because they aren't waiting. They are impatient by taking things into their own hands, and they are trying to get what they want from life.
You are more likely to get what you want because you are patient.

You May Not Be Alive Tomorrow

Life is short, Assuming that you'll be around tomorrow is bad thinking, So many people spend their whole lives planning for the future, But what if there is no future? All those sacrifices and things you didn't buy and do are lost forever. You'll never have the opportunity to do those things, and you weren't able to take advantage of the hard work that you did.

Short Term thinking is Just Easier!

When you think the only long term, Things get more complicated. You have no idea whats going to happen and when. Choices are easier when you only think of how you feel RIGHT now at this moment. Don't worry about your future self! Just focus on you now.

This is a joke! If you didn't catch it already, Do the opposite lol.

I just want get out of this day by day rat race that we are all apart off and I also want to live life the way its meant to be lived,by my own terms. I don't believe in that short term and long term nonsense, I believe you should set a goal and do what needs to be done to accomplish that goal. Just focus on your goal and move towards it but live your life!! and don't waste any of it. It isn't your job to worry about the future, let god take care of that!! It also does not matter how much money you make in the end because when die you not taking any of that with you.....

@randowhale can i send you ? my tommorow post link with 2sbd ? is there any time problem?? i read just comments on your blog tell me ? before 24hour ? or before payout?

You cant think just one sided...if you build for the long term, then you might not live to find out what happens(as you said in the post) but if you think short term...you'll have nothing to live on, look forward to etc.... You got me with this post btw... I was going to completely rant about it...but kept reading :D

A wise person has a long term (lifetime) aim. Anything that moves him/her towards that aim is "good". Anything that deviates from the path of attaining that aim is "bad". This makes decision making easy. It is the extraordinary freedom of "having no choice".

There is something to be said for a nice chunk of short-term thinking. From experience it's about balance. I spent so much time thinking about the long-term, like 90% of the time that I basically missed out on living my live in the actual moment.. Now I look for the long-term while still enjoying the heck out of the now.

I love the new shirts :)

Thank you hehe :)

I totally agree to your view of short term planning being better than longterm. I mean in case you always think about your future, do you actually still live in the present? Are you still enjoying life or do you just wander

Exactly! You need to do a mix of both :)

I can do nothing else than to agree 😊 I really like all your Posts @kaylinart. Go on with it 😉

I believe in "live in the now" but "plan for the future" you have to plan for the future just in case you do live! lol Otherwise you'll always be working and wont be able to take care of yourself as you get older. There are certain things you need need to save for and plan for that will come later in life.

Everyone agrees it's important to live in the moment, but the problem is how. Overriding the distraction reflex and awakening to the present takes intentionality and practice. One solution to this problem is, believe and trust in "GOD" for the good things to come.

So true! It' can be hard to decide how much to live in the moment and how little.

Just left a wedding.....the longterm decision most people screw up

Nice one again. you are always on point. it is good to be patient . they said that the '' patient dog eat the fates born'' But some times the dog will die before the born will come. It is always very difficult to be patient, we all want our need to take place now now. you are right, it is better for us to live our life as if there is no tomorrow . enjoy yourself, do what you love doing and allow tomorrow to take care of its self. good job as usual. keep it coming.

Thanks for the upvote, always looking up to you in this great community for inspiration. i am glad that i made a good choice by following you.

The sun will come out tomorrow
So you gotta hang on
'til tomorrow, come what may!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow
You're always a day away

Stop writing this self defeating stuff. It makes me gloomy and grey inside. I am fuzzy and lost.

JK DO THE OPPOSITE...LOVIN IT

OMGGG!! Hahha I'm sorry but some of it is so funnyyyy lol Brilliant comments.

Brilliant post on your part...you keep pushing the expansion of the mind to find new limits only to find there ARE NO LIMITS. Your portrayal of irony and sarcasm is refreshing.

True.

Be patient and Work Hard.

Exactly hehe

I think it's not totally a joke. It's meaningful for me. Sometimes I only look forward the future and don't care about now, this moment. Always afraid of the future. Saving a lot of money for investing and keep spending little money every day. I think I should take the balance. Buy some little things for reward myself.

Exactly! It's about balance. If you don't keep yourself happy then you can't succeed right now, you also won't be motivated to do things for yourself in the future.

When you are patient, you get what you want. So you don't have to think long term

lol, I have to admit, I was so startled it took me a couple seconds to realize you were joking

For me , strategic thinking is the key to success

Allright, you had be going for a couple paragraphs... "Uh-oh, Kaylin's lost her marbles..."
Cool post-- always good content from you!

Kidding aside, there definitely IS value in "being present," so you can be truly aware of what it is you're planning for, in the long term.

No tomorrows guaranteed, but I am going to the grocery store so if I do wake up in the morning I can eat breakfast. :)) Good job, thank you and take care.

It's better to think 50% of your present and enjoy the life and 50% of your future to build it like you want :D

Right? I love that 50/50 is a great amount!

This may be a joke but there's some truth to it :) Especially the middle part about "you may not be alive tomorrow" LOL.
How often do we put (fun) things off, instead of enjoying them now?
Of course there needs to be balance :) Think ahead, but also enjoy the now :)

Patient is my mind, its can make us look more cool, dont forget to visit my blog sometime

So true hehe :)

Having long term goals really helped me look at the bigger picture. Without looking in the far future you just live day by day. This is the way I see it. Being in the moment is of course much more important.

Really? I think a mix of both is the perfect way to go.

Yes, it's all about balance.

Whether you think long or short term do it accepting e everything that comes with it🙌🏻

So true Heh :)

This is interesting, thanks for sharing.

You had me bouncing back and forth till the end LOL

Very, very well said dear @kaylinart - the master of sarcasm ! :)

Great post.
Nice picture....

Thank you!

YES, YES and YES.
Love your mind!

I can't do this right now. But one day if I am patient enough I will be able to, I hope.

I'm too busy dealing with now to plan for the future. But in the future I plan to live more in the now, just as you suggest.

Wrap your head around that hehehe

Because we make me happy current time @who can imagine ur or ownfuture
Great Article I follow and upvoted you

Thank you :)

Yes, it's nice to live here now. But tomorrow you can regret it. If it comes ...

So true!

Thanks for this post. I've learnt a lot from this. Awesome

I'm glad :)

That made me think about Ekhart Tolle.

“Most humans are never fully present in the now, because unconsciously they believe that the next moment must be more important than this one. But then you miss your whole life, which is never not now.”

<3

Even if it's satire, you are right in a certain way.

Wow! I love this quote! Heheh :) Yes there is some realistic stuff in this too.

I believe in a simple but effective truth. You learn from the past, live in the present, and plan for the future. This way of life has served me well for many years.

Your'e pretty....oh yeah....short term thinking and all that good stuff. :)

Short term thinking is good. Except if you're playing chess. Then think ahead :p

That's awesome! Totally had me going for a moment! Long term goals are very important. If you don't know where you are going, you will never get there in the future...
