Nosotros Rock Climbing Gym Adventure

Yesterday I took my son, Jonah, to a rock climbing facility called Nosotros in Lakewood, Ohio which is roughly 30 minutes away from our home. There isn't a day that goes by when Jonah doesn't to go rock climbing.

The cool thing about Nosotros is that it is in the basement of a church and they focus primarily on bouldering. Bouldering is a form of climbing that doesn't require a harness and has padding below that you can fall on for a soft landing. Their mission is to use rock holds to strengthen households. They want to bring families together and use climbing as a way of bonding and strengthening relationships.

Since Ohio doesn't have too many outdoor areas to climb, we find great indoor locations to visit which work just fine. It is a joy to be able to spend time with my son and have a lot of fun all at once. Jonah loves to watch television shows such as American Ninja Warrior and Ultimate Beastmaster and he pretends that he is a contestant on the show when he climbs.

We were a bit sweaty in this photo because there is no air conditioning down there. They have a bunch of fans set up though which is nice.

Jonah is a fearless climber and loves to brave the rocks whenever he gets a chance. Here he is on his way to the top!

Every once in a while you need to make a pit stop at the chalk bag! Gotta get those hands grippy to grab hold of those rocks.

Nosotros has a well-known logo of a beard on a person's face. They decided to set up a selfie spot in their gym for people to put on a beard and take photos. Pretty neat idea!

This is probably the only time you will see me in a full on beard like this...
