I love Randy Carlson!! I haven't really listened to much lately. But I do really enjoy TED talks, NPR, especially the show NPR has on Sundays called Radiolab!

Carlson is just great! I've definitely watched a lot of TED talks, though my opinion of them has been ever-decreasing as they've added more and more topics to what they consider "off limits". NPR I've never really been able to get into, largely because everything I've heard from it has been pretty mainstream & political, neither of which are things I consider worth my time. I have had RadioLab recommended many times, so maybe I'll try to find a way to listen to it without the commercials and such in between.

I concur with you on Shapiro and Crowder, calm and cool for the most part is so refreshing. But I too disagree with many of their view points.
A guy with a lot of great content, who for some reason doesn't get the recognition he deserves, is @kalmolinet. He's got a plethora on YT and his elevator pitch is straight up gold. I also like Nuance Bro on YT for his calm demeanor and legitimate logical questions and answers, even if I disagree with him sometimes.

Sometimes it amazes me a bit how people who are generally so logical, clear-headed, and open to conversation can stay so clueless & head-in-the-sand when it comes to such foundational issues as systemic violence & coercion. Ah well, each one is right where they're at.

Ya, that attachment, or even identifying with the ideas makes it so much harder to break away from it and be open-minded. I actually love having those conversations with folks myself, I have had a lot of luck with just the right words coming through :-)
