I guess that’s the big question that brought here to read this post in the first place, well it is very easy to get upvotes, you have to do what you normally do on Steemit other Steemit interface or DApps and that is upvote others. In this case you need to make at least 5 upvotes every day for which you get points and those points are equated with upvote values which you get in return overtime for your upvote. That is the main thing you have to do daily, upvote 5 times and that is all.

What Voting Weight Should I Upvote With?

Someone once asked me a question regarding this, now my answer is as follows (remember, it’s just my personal understanding base on my usage and experience).

The points you receive on Steemfollower when you upvote other peoples post is dependent and calculated based on these 3 things - 1. Steem Power, 2. Voting Power and 3. Voting Weight at the time you upvote a post.

Here is a guide to what your Voting Weight should be:

• If your Steem Power is small such that your upvote has $0 or almost insignificant value, I suggest you vote with a voting strength of %100.

• If you have a larger Steem Power then you can use a voting strength less than 100%. Some people have such high Steem Power the a 1% Voting Weight is worth more than $10 while other 100% Voting Weight is worth $0.01.

• Personally, as of the current price of Steem today, I’ll suggest you give 100% Voting Weight when you upvote if your Steem Power is less or equal to 500 (this is my personal opinion).
