Living In The Wilderness

I was directed to a place where I could get a lot of potato leaves for my rabbits so that it will help me cut the cost of buying manufactured feeds for them. As I approached the place I said to myself “this is somewhere I definitely haven’t been to and I doubt anybody leaves here” but to my surprise, I saw shanties scattered here and there and people living in them.

They Don't Have Anything

There was no electricity, no water supply, no toilets I could see, no drainage and the buildings looked like they were constructed buy substandard builders trying their hands out to see if their works come out successfully. Life in that place type of place in this modern day time can be considered as life in the wilderness.

I couldn’t drive to the place because the road was bad, so I just had to park my car a long way from where I was actually going to. I was wondering how the people staying this type of place manage things. No TV, no internet, no basic amenities of life. It got me wondering, have I been taking what I’ve got for granted, am I complaining too much do I need to be more charitable?

There are a lot of people in this world living below the poverty line, most of them wish they have just 10% of what you’ve got and that will make them have forever. So maybe sometimes we should just sit back and relax and thank God for what we have, for there are many who don’t have any at all.

yes, there are so many people who live below the poverty line. At the same time, there are some lives luxury lives with everything they need and excess that the poor even can't imagine. your thought is important and great. Thanks for sharing..

You are welcome my friend. We just have to appreciate what we have and give where we can.

There are times where I have considered moving further away from society.but in the end I think mom matter how far out I would move their l they'd destroy. The wilderness around them and build more. One can dream to be away from the Mordern areas though.

An interesting reflection on poverty. But my opinion is. People who live in poverty have come to this. These are weak people who do not find the strength to move for the better.
I'm not saying that they are bad. Probably they just need help to take the first step.

I've seen people who had putting in the effort and were even ready to do sh.t just to be lifted but things never did work for them. I've seen people who didn't make half as much effort but mother luck shown on them and they were lifted. God knows why it is so, but we should just appreciate what we've got and help out as much as we can, who knows, some day they might be in the best position to help you too.

You are a good person
Continue in the same direction.
I also try to help when I can.

Thanks for the support man. Cheers.
