I Was Once A Reluctant Content Creator

Trying to practice drawing Pinky and Spiky. I am happy for what I had achieved here on Steemit once a reluctant participant to the contest of @organduo and @laputis is now one of the most active in the contest. Yes, I started as reluctant and no confidence in my drawing skills and more so making comics. The layout the characters the story are just giving me a nightmare and that punch line oh I am really struggling to think of a funny situation. It was not only me, a lot of participants back in the days are also hesitant to join because of the same reasons I mentioned. I remember @organduo giving a tip about punch lines or making a funny scene. He simply said that make one character lie about things. Let's say Spiky will promise to do one thing but would not. I took that advice in mind and it helped.

Over thinking is similar to analysis paralysis. You won't make any progress if you do not start creating. I think in whatever endeavour there is no perfect timing to start other than now. You will never be ready unless you try. Oh boy I am glad I overcome that fear of not creating a funny comics by simply starting to create. That is how we learn. We have questions we ask or search and learn. We apply that learning by creating then realise something either good or bad then try to improve. Wash, rinse then repeat hahaha that is how I see improving my craft or skills.

Out of the many looks I made for Pinky this is my favourite and I want my Pinky character to have this kind of look. Consistency is the key so I keep practicing and discovered some tricks to have a consistent look on all my Pinky character.
