This post actually pisses me off, because what you're talking about is all first world problems. Fairness has degrees. If you're going to include the whole population of earth into the "fairness protocol", then you're going to need to include EVERYONE. Because a lot of people are born into situations all over the world that would considered "not fair". Those that are dirt poor and living in the slums of South Africa or India, who view a car as something magical or make cakes to eat out of dirt on the ground for lack of anything better available, or the many children of the world who are abused and used and sexual playthings by psychopathic adults come to mind right away. That's pretty unfair. You don't think they have cause for complaint?
