Do you have a photo that presents an image that doesn't match the "reality" of what is going on?

There's a lady standing beside a path, with (what I assume) are her young kids and a pram. The mother is helping one of her kids with something, and another is playing with something on the path. There's also someone sitting on the path further up.

And you may or may not have noticed in the background, there is a lot of smoke coming from a building. That building is one of the World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York.

That photo was taken on September 11, 2001, just after the hijacked planes crashed into them.

By the seemingly “casual” setting in that photo, a mother out with her little kids, it would be hard to fully grasp the reality of the situation that is unfolding in the background - one of the most well known and tragic events that changed the world.

Almost 3000 people were killed on that day. That included adults and children. Mothers, fathers, siblings, significant others, relatives, friends and coworkers. Firefighters, paramedics, workers, employees and visitors. And of course thousands more who were injured, even more who are still traumatized to this day.

Even as someone who wasn't even alive yet on the day this all happened, it is something that really affects me and I feel so sad and heartbroken about it. I couldn't even imagine how it must have felt/feel for people directly affected by it.

Madness. Not just the day but that photo.
