5 Possible Reasons Why You CAN'T LOSE WEIGHTsteemCreated with Sketch.

Hello my fellow Steemians. I am a nurse and I made this for my friends and for you.

You want to lose weight but can't quite transfer that desire into action, may be there are some barriers that holds you back. Below are the 5 possible reasons why people can't lose weight and some solution to help them get some results.

NUMBER 1: EMOTIONAL EATING - It is common for people to use food to preoccupy themselves against negative emotions, guilt, frustration or sadness that can trigger eating behaviors that are out of control. When you use food to deal with these emotions, eventually you will gain weight than losing it.

SOLUTION: Don't wait for the problem to go away or even think you can eat way out of it. Deal with the source of negative emotions. try to identify or distinguish between emotional and physical hunger. When you are emotionally hungry food is not the answer it maybe someone else.

NUMBER 2: SLOW METABOLISM - Slow metabolic rate is the number one of the most common reason people don't lose weight.

SOLUTION: If are born with a family with slow metabolism or belongs to "big family" then you should avoid foods that will worsen your metabolism further more. DON'T LOSE HOPE, the GOOD NEWS is that there are many things you can do to change a slow metabolism. number 1 see the image below. Number 2 includes eating breakfast, engaging on more exercise, doing food resistance and avoiding fat diets.

NUMBER 3: INACTIVITY - Do things that can burn fats or calories. Don't just sit every weekend and watch tv or stare at your facebook account all day. Not long ago didn't have to plan for their exercise because they had physically active jobs.

SOLUTION: Regular exercise is essential to boosting your metabolism and truly removing excess stored fats. MOVE MORE AND YOU LOSE MORE.

NUMBER 4: CONSTANT DIETING - When people say they are going on a diet, they simply imply that they'll eventually come off the diet. DO YOU KNOW - Because you are taking in fewer calories on a diet, your body's response is to slow down the metabolic rate to preserve fuel and store calories. It is a built in survival mechanism which why dieting without exercise rarely succeeds. Short Term changes will last only for short term of body changes, then you'll be back on being big again.

SOLUTION: Look for a long term healthy eating plan that includes subtle changes to your diet. Try to establish a way of eating that will last you a life time. Look at the picture of Solution of number 2.

NUMBER 5: THE WRONG ATTITUDE- The extent to which you are emotionally ready to lose weight can determine your long-term success. It is very important that the changes to your eating habits and activity level must be permanent.

SOLUTION: Look for activities you will have fun on doing, create tasty and and a healthy meal that you enjoy. Don't let negative thoughts and feelings hinder you from from reaching your goal. Many people already made a long term change in their life. They are only people, I know you can too.

@kingxerxesdex,

I just learnt your attitude can hinder you from loosing weight. Wow.

Creating hunger for good food is another idea that got me. Thank you.

Also, loosing weight has to do with the determination. You cannot loose weight if you continue to eat too much and especially fatty food.

yes determination, I think I forgot to write it on my number 5. thanks a lot haha..

agreed

There is a 6th reason (well, I have one a least). It is called "My wife loves to cook" and I don't want to upset her. lol No, not really... it's the pizza! Arrrrrr.

same goes for me I love pizza hahaha.. hands up when wife says eat this I cooked it for you lol...

And when she pops a pizza in the oven... well, there is no such thing as left-over pizza in this house. Thank goodness the gym is close-by.

Pizza does include all the food groups, so it is healthy....

thank you for this, now I have clear conscience eating pizza hahaha.. no need to worry then.

I totally agree!

Good post ... lots of people struggle with this but when diet and stress levels get out of whack and we stop eating nutrient dense food and stop taking vitamins we can go down hill fast and up the scale even faster. Peace and good health to you all.

thanks a lot for the comment it really helps my self esteem to write more like this. Peace and good health to you too..

I like these kinds of posts too @ kingxerxesdex because it motivates people to make their health a priority. Keep up the fine work!
