Managing Human Resources

Humans are the most intelligent beings on earth, this is unarguable. When comes with dealing with our environments and nature we’re so outstanding. Taking a look down the history lane, you will discover that even the atmosphere is affected in what is called global warming.

The world as we know it is changed by man’s activities to meet up with his cravings for food, shelter and clothing. Everything is centered on man and man have proven himself worthy of putting the earth under control.

Man have learnt to put the earth’s resources to good use, to meet his need even to the detriment of mother earth. But man is still struggling to manage the best resource, human resource.

Handling humans is not an easy task because they are rational beings who have a will of their own. It will require great skill. The most efficient is communication skills. When you are able to communicate richly to the humans under your leadership, you will have wonderful result.

Human beings are wonderful creatures who think and act. We have a will unlike other living beings, we have a high thinking capacity and are able to discern right from wrong. Take some babies for example, they laugh mischievously when they bite their moms’ nipples while sucking. They know that’s wrong.

It’s paramount to know how to lead humans in order to achieve what’s best for your company, church and school.

The way you manage your human resources is will determine whether you will achieve success or failure. A leader needs to put consider these factors while managing human resources

Communication

Communication is your most vital tool in managing people under you. It should be your best asset. Without proper communication skills, your institution is bound to lose value and proper organization. Communication is expressed in words, writing, actions. Leading by example, they say, is the best leadership.

Acquire proper communication skill through books. I will recommend Public Speaking by Dale Carnegie.

Structure

Have a good structure for your organization before employing anyone. There should be a set of rules for your institution that will keep it running even in your absence. I suggest you read Business at the Speed of Thought.

Listening

Be the kind of boss the people under you can confide in. Don’t be too bossy when handling people under you. You can learn about some flaws of your firm if you are a listener to the complaints or advice of the people under you.

Be a good leader; manage the human resources you have at your disposal well
