Your inner child (An original poem)

in life •  8 years ago  (edited)

Dying to get out
of the misery she is in
staring in the mirror of life
hoping she could ever win

Desperately trying to speak with you
but you only feel her pain
the ache that keeps her captured
the darkness that keeps her wound sustain

You run away from that empty feeling
but deep within still feeling sad
‘please be the parent for me’, she whispers
‘the loving one I never had’

The only thing she wants is your attention
your loving voice that will say;
‘you are wonderful and I love you
all is good my friend, all is okay’
