Not Knowing When to Say NO: People will often try to accommodate or help folks who are around them, ultimately disregarding themselves in the process and having the situation lead to a burn out or falling behind in aspects of their lives. A balance between taking care of yourself and others need to be maintained.

Not Knowing How to Say NO: Much like the above point people often times do not know how to express themselves and find a nice way to say no so folks, so they end up getting roped into doing tasks they may not have time or energy for. Unfortunately if people know you have a hard time saying no they may exploit this.

Being in a Toxic Environment or Around Toxic People: Often times our work places or the folks we're subjected to in them are not the most pleasant or wholesome places on the planet, this in turn can lead to a person slowly being worn down mentally and emotionally.. Which leads to a burn-out.

Prioritizing Others Over Yourself: Some humans tend to disregard themselves in order to appeal to others more, often seeking acceptance or attention while trading in their sanity or life hours in the process. Remember that you're #1 in your life, regardless of others.

People Pleasing: Trying to make other people happy at the expense of your own happiness is a sure fire way to end up miserable and burnt-out. Unfortunately for some they tend to put others feelings and emotions in front of their own, which leads to them being manipulated into doing things they'd not do for their own sake.

"SuperHero Syndrome": I myself am guilty of this one.. Taking on tasks that are far to large or complex for one person and in turn ending up overwhelmed and frustrated by the whole ordeal. You may be competent but don't over-estimate your abilities!

Unrealistic Expectations: Imposing unrealistic expectations on yourself or having them forced on you from an outside source is something that is sure to impede your mental health and sanity over a long period of time. Don't allow people (including yourself) to push unrealistic goals onto you.

Having Little Control Over What You're Doing: If you're in a situation where your day to day activity is basically scripted or you've got no sort of variety in your day you may experience a quick burn out. Monotony is another killer of moral and lead to a burnt out outlook on things.

Not Being Appreciated for What You Do: It might be your boss, your spouse or family members that take what you do for granted and are thankless in the way they act. Not feeling appreciated is a quick way to lose interest or love for whatever activity you're doing..

My dad used to say some shit, like saying and stuff, and one of the things he used to say I actually still think of at times.
"no use worrying about something you can't control 'cause if you can't control it there is no use worrying about it. and no use worrying about something you can control 'cause if you can control it there is no use worrying about it."

I don't know where that shit came from and it seems to make sense when I think about it but after typing it I suddenly feel my dad was a maniac. :/

lol, perhaps he was, good words anyways!
